Get more life from your casings without sacrificing performance. Our commercial retreads are produced using proven processes and quality materials to deliver dependable performance, long tread life, and a lower cost per mile.
THERE ARE 10 DIFFERENT PROCESSES A CASING MUST GO THROUGH BEFORE BEING APPROVED. BELOW ARE OUR TOP 4 MOST IMPORTANT.
-
THOROUGH INITIAL INSPECTION
Our retread specialist perform a visual, hands-on inspection from bead to bead inside and out to find and mark all visible injuries. A Second specialist will then re-evaluate the entire casing with a electronic tool that searches for any damage the human eye cannot see.
-
SHEAROGRAPHY
This machine was developed by NASA to determine how and why the Apollo space shuttle failed. It determines conditions within the casing, subjecting it to a high pressure vacuum while lasers measure surface anomalies. An animated visual of the anomalies determines casing condition. Think of it as a X-ray machine for tires.
-
BUFFING & REPAIR
At this stage, the casing is inflated to its operational shape. The process removes the worn tread surface, trues up the roundness and prepares the surface for a new tread. Next, Any damaged material identified during initial inspection is removed and repairs are made, essentially returning the casing to a brand new state.
-
FINAL INSPECTION
After 6 more processes the last and most important is a visual, hands-on inspection to ensure our quality specifications are met.
